Our group is an association of craftsmen and women, spanning all levels of expertise from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned professionals.
Membership is open to all individuals interested in traditional, heritage, and historic metal crafts — whether professional, part-time, or amateur.
There are no membership fees, but members are expected to contribute to the group. This could be anything from offering advice to a fellow smith, helping out or attending events, or even donating something small for a fundraising table at an event.
We regularly host forge-ins, where smiths collaborate, teach, and learn in a lively, open-forge setting. Education is at the heart of what we do, offering workshops and demonstrations to both aspiring blacksmiths and the general public.
At Forged In Ireland, we’re all about promoting traditional, heritage, and historic metal crafts in Ireland. Here’s what we aim to do:
Additionally, our association is available for events, including historical reenactments, live forging demonstrations, and educational programs, bringing the artistry and craftsmanship of blacksmithing to audiences of all kinds.
Whether you’re looking to hone your craft, witness the magic of hot steel taking shape, or bring the blacksmith’s anvil to your next event, our doors—and forges—are always open.
